Orders
The Orders module bridges the gap between sales and operations. An order captures what the client has agreed to purchase, at what value, and binds it to the project that will deliver the work.
Overview
Orders represent a confirmed sale — the moment a lead becomes revenue. Each order records the client, value, currency, status, and the project workspace where the work will be done.
Orders are typically created automatically when a lead is won, but can also be created manually for existing clients.
Getting Started
Navigate to Business → Orders in the sidebar. Youʼll see a list of all orders with their status.
Creating a Manual Order
- Click New Order
- Select the client
- Enter the order value and currency
- Optionally link to an existing project
- Set the status and save
Core Concepts
Order Status
Orders progress through: Pending → Processing → Completed. The status reflects where the delivery work stands.
Project Binding
Every order is linked to a project. This creates a direct connection between what was sold and what is being delivered. Project progress updates can feed back into order status.
Multi-Currency
Orders support multiple currencies. The currency is used when generating invoices and reports.
Features
Order List
Filterable list showing order ID, client, value, currency, status, and linked project. Click any order to view details.
Status Tracking
Update order status as work progresses. Status changes are logged and visible to project managers.
Client History
All orders for a client are visible from the client detail page, providing a complete purchase history.
Workflows
Lead → Order → Project Flow
- Lead is won → Client is created (or linked), Order is created
- Order is bound to a Project workspace
- Project team begins work
- As milestones complete, order status updates
- Invoice is generated from the order
- Payment is recorded → Accounting entries are posted
Best Practices
- Always link orders to projects — this ensures revenue tracking ties to actual work
- Keep order status updated so the team knows whatʼs in the pipeline
- Verify client billing details before creating an order
- Use consistent currency selection to avoid reporting discrepancies
